Biography[]
Competing at the Cave[]
Klara and Anatole go to the Cave to compete against Orpheus for the chance to go to the Underworld and save their dead child. The Fates punish Orpheus for denying Riddy her chance at renewal by taking her coin. Not only is he stabbed in his hand, but he is disqualified, and so Anatole and Klara win the competition and are awarded access to the Underworld.[1] However, she flees the Cave distraught after learning of Anatole's death. Tears run down her face as she collapses to the ground. At that moment, Dionysus arrives to ask about their progress, at which point, she slaps him.[2]
